Evergreen launches PR arm
Fifty-plus marketing specialist Evergreen has launched a public relations division.
The Melbourne-based agency has recruited former journalist and author Dina Ross as PR director.
Ross authored the book Surviving the Media Jungle, a guide to PR. She has also had stints at the Victorian government’s solicitor’s office, as a communications consultant at law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth and as a freelance write on The Age.
“Public relations is a natural extension to our creative services”, said Gill Walker, Evergreen’s MD. “Our research shows that although older Australians have strong self-opinions, they also rely heavily on third party endorsement from sources they respect such as journalists, healthcare professionals and community leaders. PR is another step in devising a holistic campaign for our clients.”
Evergreen was launched by Gill Walker and creative director Phil Thomas in 2002.
Other ad agencies with PR arms include DDB Sydney’s Mango, Whybin\TBWA’s Eleven Communications and Host’s One Green Bean.
Senioragency is also an advertising agency with a PR division. We launched our PR agency over 8 years ago as seniors still believe content is king and are not yet part of the “lets film it” market.
Media fragmentation I believe will see all ad agencies offering PR and /or content as quite frankly there is not enough to go around. cormacksays.com.au
