Fanning the flames
News.com.au today reports the shocking news that Cosmo carries starlet Dakota Fanning on its cover next to coverlines promoting “sex tips and raunchy advice”. The tale currently dominates the site’s entertainment section.
The reason why this is outrageous? Because Fanning is only 17.
One piece of missing information that may have been a tad relevant for news.com.au’s Australian audience? It’s the US February edition of Cosmo.

The Australian edition goes with the decade-and-a-bit older Miranda Kerr.
An uncharitable person might think the fact that Cosmopolitan is published by rival publisher ACP Magazines in Australia might have something to do with the beat-up.
But Dr Mumbo is far more charitable. Clearly the 15 seconds it would have taken to check before putting up the agency copy was too much.
Mind you, the story was pretty thin to begin with.
