Fiat Chrysler names Zac Loo as marketing chief following exit of Mark McCraith to Maxus

Zac_LooFiat Chrysler’s director of product strategy, Zac Loo, has been handed responsibility for marketing following the decision by Mark McCraith to quit the car firm and return to Maxus Australia.

Loo will take the expanded role of director of marketing and product strategy from May 18 and will spearhead the strategic management for FCA Australia’s six brands; Jeep, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge and Fiat Professional.

The newly created role will bring marketing and product under the same portfolio.

“Ensuring complete alignment and collaboration between marketing and product strategy will be instrumental to the future development of our business and our brands,” an FCA spokesperson said.

Loo joined FCA Australia in 2013 as senior manager for product planning for Jeep, Fiat and Alfa Romeo before being promoted in early 2014 to director of product strategy.

Prior to joining FCA Australia, he held various marketing and product positions at Mercedes-Benz, Smart and Infiniti.

FCA Australia president and chief executive Pat Dougherty said of McCraith’s departure: “We’d like to thank Mark for all of his hard work, dedication and passion towards our business.

“He really has made an impact on the organisation and we look forward to continuing to work with him through Maxus, our media partner.”
