First speakers revealed for Festival of Branded Entertainment

Branded entertainment festivalThe draft program and first speakers for the first Australasian Festival of Branded Entertainment have been revealed.
The one day conference and awards – the first of its kind in Australia – takes place on November 20 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.
Branded entertainment is one of the fastest developing areas of the media and marketing industry. The festival is being organised by Mumbrella and sister title Encore.
The day will kick off with a session looking at the process of making great branded entertainment, before a discussion on how to ensure that the content finds an audience.
This will be followed by a session examining best practice in collaboration between the partners involved in creating good branded entertainment. The session, entitled, Stop Collaborate and Listen, features:
  • Justin Ricketts, managing director of branded entertainment agency Ensemble Australia
  • Lizzie Young – director of content and brand integration, Powered by Nine
  • Kate Edwards – managing director of content strategy and creation company Kontented
  • Andie Tickner – head of brand partnerships EMI Music, Australasia
  • Shae Constantine – director, marketing, Australian Artists at Sony Music Australia
Case studies presented in the collaboration session will include work for Sony, Mitre 10 and the Block, Heineken and KFC.

The morning will conclude with a screening of the best local content before a networking lunch.

The afternoon will include sessions examining brave brands, how to choose the format which works best for any project and a screening of the best international content.

The conference part of the festival concludes with a top level panel debate before an evening awards ceremony and cocktail party.
