Former TMS boss Andrew Lamb joins Initiative as client partner

Andrew Lamb Former managing director of independent media agency TMS Andrew Lamb is to join Initiative in the newly created role of client partner.

Lamb, a 12 year veteran of TMS, departed the agency in April shortly before a pitch for part of Toyota subsidiary Lexus’ media account, was announced.

“Andrew carries a high level of respect in the industry,” said Lee Leggett, CEO of Initiative.

“Among the marketing community and media owners he is known for building strong relationships with clients and as a team leader.  He is the calibre of executive I am focused on bringing into the Initiative team and I am looking forward to working with him.”

During his time with TMS Lamb drove its operations and client partnerships, working on prominent national accounts such as Toyota, Sealy, Sharp, and Lexus.

“I am thrilled to be working with Lee and the team at Initiative. It is a great agency with a fantastic culture, vision and client portfolio,” said Lamb.

This is the second senior announcement by Initiative in a week for the newly created position of client partner, created by Leggett, who took the reins of Initiative from Andrew Livingston in May.

The first client partner Damien Terakes was announced last week, with responsibilities for clients to be announced at a later stage. Livingston remains with Initiative in the role of chief operating officer.

Lamb is a former board director of the Media Federation of Australia (MFA) and a former member of the steering committee for the MFA Awards.

He will take up the role from August 11 and will be based in the Sydney office, reporting directly to Leggett.
