I am a screen composer based in Sydney who writes music for the screen, contemporary dance and art installations. I’m classically trained with an Honours degree in a Bachelor of Music (Composition) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

I’ve composed music for short films that have been screened at film festivals around the world, including Vancouver International Film Festival, New York City Film Festival, DC Shorts Film Festival and Dungog Film Festival.

I work as assistant to film composer Guy Gross at Trackdown Studios where I’m involved in some of the country’s largest film and television productions. In 2011 alongside Guy, I worked on Stephan Elliott’s (Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) latest feature film A Few Best Men, as well as a number of documentaries and television shows for the ABC and SBS. I was music editor for Dancing Down Under, a 10-episode ABC television series that went to air in 2012.

ART MUSIC

Although based in Sydney, I’ve had my compositions performed in Athens, Greece in 2008 and have written music to choreography by LA based contemporary dance choreographer Viktor Kabaniaev in 2009. I combined electronics with acoustic instruments for an avant-garde art installation in 2010.

I’ve had a number of my art music works performed by Australia’s top musicians, notably the new music performance group Ensemble Offspring in 2010. Three composers and myself were awarded the New and Contemporary Classical Performance Grant in 2011, which helped us fund FOURCAST, a concert premiering four of our new works.
