FutureBrand Australia CEO Richard Curtis has been handed an expanded remit to include oversight of the agency’s Southeast Asia operations, Mumbrella can reveal.

Curtis, who joined the IPG brand agency a little over a year ago from Omnicom rival Interbrand, will also lead the company’s growth ambitions for Southeast Asia out of Singapore, supporting client relationships including General Motors, Lend Lease, Nestlé and Unilever.

Susie Hunt, who is a year into her role as FutureBrand’s APAC chairman, said: “I am delighted to see Richard’s continued progress at FutureBrand. He and his teams are creating world-class partnerships with our clients in Australia.

“I look forward to their further collaboration with our Singapore-based regional team to support our key clients throughout Southeast Asia.”

During his first year at FutureBrand Australia, running offices in Sydney and Melbourne, Curtis has won new clients including Bankwest and BCG Digital Ventures and expanded his team in Sydney.

Curtis said: “We have built a valuable platform to help our clients grow their brands and business, and I’m excited about the broader opportunities now available as we continue to bring the best of future brand thinking from around the region to our clients.”
