Perhaps the general Australian veiwing audience is beginig to realise the myth of US television and film excellence.
For far too long, the US has relied upon stereotypical role models, simple simon scripting, and plots courtesy of painting by numbers, set in a whitewashed and sterilised world of happy middleclass people, where even the poor and underprivileged have clean clothes and superwhite straight teeth.
Then again, maybe its just a crap show.

A couple of thoughts to add to that Richard.
After sampling the first episode or two on free-to-air… tech-savvy viewers might also be heading to the download sites to stock up on the rest of the series, given how long it takes the Australian networks to run some of these shows. I was in the US last September with my family, and both this show and ‘Forever’ had well and truly started their runs.
…Then again, it could also be a crap show.
I can’t say I watch it.

Watch a show with ad’s spoiling the experience, or download ad free?
If Aussie free to air reduced ad breaks and focused on experience, might they retain viewers?
Aussie free to air v UK free to sir is shambolic in terms of viewer experience.

Given “How to get away with Murder” started in September 2014 I can’t help but wonder how many have already watched episode 13 and are about to watch episode 14 elsewhere.
