Gogglebox sheds viewers in later timeslot as Nine wins the night overall
Last night’s later airing episode of Gogglebox pulled in 523,000 metro viewers.
It aired at 9.40pm last night where as last week it aired at 8.30pm and was watched by 728,000 metro viewers.
It was a night dominated by news with Channel Seven beating Nine at 6:00pm. News were the only programs to attract more than 1m viewers last night, with Seven News at 6:00pm pulling 1.155m and 1.045m from 6:30pm.
Nine News at 6:00pm and Nine News at 6:30pm narrowly missed out on breaking the 1m barrier, grabbing 991,000 at 6:00pm and 981,000 at 6:30pm.
Despite Seven dominating the news audience, Nine won the night overall, claiming a 27.6% share compared with 25.6% for Seven.
At 7:30pm, Masterchef attracted 967,000 to be the most-watched program across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54).
The Masterclass episode of the cooking reality series pulled in 706,000.
On the ABC, 7.30 was watched by 648,000, The Checkout: Best Before (8:00pm) grabbed 658,000 and Janet King (8:30pm) had an audience of 673,000.
