Good night for Masterchef and Gruen Transfer. Bad night for Hey Hey
Masterchef broke through the 2m mark again on Wednesday night, according to preliminary overnight ratings from OzTam.
The Ten show averaged 2.012m viewers. However, Seven narrowly won the night.
Meanwhile, Nine’s Hey Hey It’s Saturday continued to struggle, fading to 801,000.
The ABC’s The Gruen Transfer performed well, delivering 1.4m viewers. The Pitch segment saw Meerkats and Jam Shop compete to convince the public that WA should seek independence.
Only one episode of The Gruen Tranfer – the last one in the first series – has topped that figure, pulling in 1.45m.

Wouldn’t it make sense to have had a representative from the media agency side of things on the night Gruen talks about Masterchef integration?
