Aussie GQ looks the best it ever has on a budget of nothing. Sure, it's not completely original. It's part of a prestigious international brand and sometimes GQ UK or US have something the local edition can't and shouldn't resist.
There's a lot of fantastic original writing and photography in the local GQ and, having been close to it for a year or two, I can only applaud the job Nick Smith and his one staff member are doing, working out of a tent near the airport, eating nothing but canapes at vodka launches and drinking free aftershave. Well done, lads.

Anna Wintour would not be in the slightest horrified because she sure as shit doesn't lower herself to read derivative, antipodean, mass market rags like Australian GQ.

Grumber hit it on the head. How sincere is your apology when you're just copying the apology that your parent mag wrote 12 months ago. Also no mention of the fact the 10 year anniversary includes a couple of years when Aus GQ was MIA due to poor sales after it's initial launch in 99.

Sidebar: a one year 6 issue subscription to Aus GQ = $60
a one year 12 issue subscription to US GQ = $58 USD or $63 AUD

Um, didn't US GQ do the exact same thing - almost word for word - a year or so ago? Oh yes, here it is: http://men.style.com/gq/features/landing?id=content_5910

Did someone say tartan?

It'll be back in 2011 with a vengeance.

For the record there is absolutely nothing wrong with Tartan. I look rather dashing in my kilt.
