Greenpeace trains its sights on Adidas and Nike

Greenpeace has launched yet another campaign against a big advertiser, this time training its sights on sportswear giants Adidas and Nike for polluting Chinese rivers.

Fronting the campaign is a video featuring look-alikes of Adidas and Nike brand ambassadors David Beckham, Christiano Ronaldo and Snoop Dogg.

Though focused in China, the campaign is encouraging Australians to get behind the cause through Greenpeace International’s website and social media channels.

The attack follows the publication of Greenpeace’s ‘Dirty Laundry’ report, which found hazardous chemicals in waste water taken from textile factories that supply Adidas and Nike.

Greenpeace is currently engaged in campaigns against Volkswagen and Mattel, which the NGO claims uses packaging sourced from Sumatran rainforests.
