Harper’s Bazaar appoints Thelma McQuillan as fashion director

Thelma McQuillianFashion bible Harper’s Bazaar has hired former Grazia staffer Thelma McQuillan as fashion director.

McQuillan had held the role at Harper’s when the magazine first launched in Australia.

She was previously fashion director of Grazia Australia and contributing fashion editor at British Grazia. Stylist David Bonney will replace McQuillan at Grazia Australia.

The title has also brought in Kristin Trude, former fashion editor of US Harper’s Bazaar and US Teen Vogue to join the fashion team as fashion editor.

Harper’s publisher Robyn Foyster said in a press release: “Thelma has a wealth of experience and a proven track record for producing breathtaking fashion editorial. Her talent will be a great asset to the magazine and will cement Harper’s Bazaar as the fashion authority in Australia.”
