Honda host pop-up drive in cinema experiences to promote Jazz

Honda is hosting a series of outdoor movie events with the pop-up drive in cinema equipment being carried around in the brand’s Jazz vehicle in a stunt to promote the car’s ‘Magic Seats’.

Tickets for the Honda Jazz Magic Mobile Drive-In, created by Leo Burnett Melbourne, are given away by ballot, with the winners able to see the pop-up cinema being set up, with select VIP attendees able to view it from inside one of the Jazz cars.

Leo Burnett Melbourne creative director Andrew Woodhead said: “The Mobile Drive-In is an experiential event and a product demonstration in one.”

The activation kicks off in November and runs of the back of the national launch of the Jazz. It will be supported by television, direct, online, mobile and social.

Honda Australia general manager of communications and customer Jason Miller said: “This Honda Jazz activation sits perfectly within our brand platform of clever thinking. The Magic Mobile Drive-In is as much about engaging and entertaining our audience as it is about selling cars persé. It’s important we connect with the next generation of buyers to ensure we shift current perceptions.”
