House Rules begins to close gap on The Block
The recovery of Seven’s House Rules continued on Thursday night with the show rating just 80,000 viewers behind Nine’s rival renovation reality show The Block.
According to overnight metro ratings from OzTAM, The Block rated 1.087m while House Rules rated 1.007m.
It is the closest House Rules has yet come to The Block. Catchup show The Block Unlocked rated 807,000.
Nine’s The Footy Show rated 856,000.
The most watched program of Thursday was Nine News on 1.242m, followed by Seven News on 1.137m.
Comedy Mrs Brown’s Boys rated 924,000 for Seven.
The final episode of the Checkout rated 882,000 for ABC1.
Nine won the night with a 23.2 per cent share. Seven had 21.3 per cent and Ten 13.3 per cent. ABC1 was on 12.2 per cent.
In the key advertising battleground of 25-54, The Block was top show of the night followed by House Rules. Nine also won the night in 25-54.
