The integration of the agency will see Simon Hatcher, Hamrahead GM, join HPR, a fellow South Australian agency. The former’s existing clients, which includes IKEA, Constellation Wines and global chemical company Chemtura, will also transition into HPR.
Tim Hughes, HPR managing director, said: “The integration of Hamrahead and the addition of Simon to our experienced team of communications professionals is a significant development for our business as we continue to grow our client and skills base.”
HPR acquired Hamrahead from owner Paul Hamra for an undisclosed sum.
Hamra is currently managing director of Solstice Media which publishes titles including The Independent Weekly.
HPR’s clients include Adelaide Airport Limited, BankSA, Beerenberg, Clean Seas Tuna Ltd, Defence Teaming Centre, Hansen Yuncken, International Power Australia, McDonald’s and Petratherm.
The acquisition comes in the wake of Sydney-based independent PR agency McGregors International merging into Fleishman-Hillard.
