Hungry Jack’s has announced a partnership with R U OK? to inspire its crew and customers to start life-changing conversations.

R U OK? is a national not-for-profit that aims to inspire Australians to have meaningful conversations to help anyone who might be struggling with life.  It’s most well known for R U OK?Day, held this year on Thursday, 11 September.

As R U OK?’s Principal Partner, Hungry Jack’s will help the charity connect with more Australians by sharing tips on how to start a conversation and collecting donations in its 370 restaurants in the lead up to R U OK?Day.

A dedicated program has also been developed for Hungry Jack’s 16,500 staff to help them understand the importance of asking the question and having regular, meaningful conversations with family, friends and colleagues.

Hungry Jack’s National Marketing Director, Paul Tredinnick, said Hungry Jack’s is proud to support R U OK? to help spread its message across Australia.

“Hungry Jack’s is proud to partner with R U OK? to help it empower more Australians, including Hungry Jack’s 16,500 staff, to have regular, meaningful conversations that can make a real difference.

“The partnership provides us with a valuable opportunity to give back to the 370 communities that support us in a worthwhile way,” said Mr Tredinnick.

As part of Hungry Jack’s partnership, it will sponsor the R U OK? Conversation Bus, which will launch in Darwin on Thursday, 7 August and travel 12,000km across Australia.  The R U OK? Conversation Bus will visit 18 communities during its journey, hosting events at schools, sporting clubs and community groups and stopping by 13 Hungry Jack’s restaurants.

R U OK? General Manager, Brendan Maher said R U OK? is excited to partner with Hungry Jack’s and work with them to make a real difference.

“Thanks to this exciting new partnership with Hungry Jack’s, R U OK? will be able to reach out to all corners of Australia and help build stronger, more resilient communities,” said Mr Maher.

R U OK? ambassadors Allison Langdon and Ben Ross joined Hungry Jack’s crew at the Ashfield restaurant to officially launch the partnership.

“The partnership with Hungry Jack’s will help people ask one another “are you ok?” and listen either way.  It’s great to see organisations like Hungry Jack’s working with R U OK? to inspire Australians to realise that a conversation could change a life,” said Ms Langdon.

Hungry Jack’s will also encourage customers to have meaningful conversations by introducing a range of meals and snacks designed for sharing with friends and family over a conversation.
