Ikon picks up digital marketing account for UK sports retailer Wiggle after competitive pitch
Ikon Communications will handle the digital marketing for UK online sports retailer Wiggle following a competitive pitch and three month review.
The STW-owned agency will take over from Wiggle’s in-house team in the UK and is part of a concerted push from the sports brand to establish a foothold in Australia. The firm recently set up a new office in Sydney.
Wiggle Australia general manager Adam Johnson described Ikon as “innovative and forward thinking”.
“The team at Ikon has demonstrated an excellent understanding of our business and provided great strategic thinking. In addition, our performance continues to grow month on month,” he said.
Ikon head of search Simon Dunwoody said: “Wiggle are exactly the type of client we like to work with. They’re absolutely disrupting the Australian sporting goods marketplace and passionate about what they do.
