Ikon wins Stockland Residential account

StocklandStockland Residential has announced the appointment of media agency Ikon Communications  following a media agency review.

The appointment sees the company move from a state-based approach to media buying to a national approach in an attempt to secure better economies of scale.

“The appointment of Ikon represents the start of an exciting, new era for the Stockland Residential brand. Ikon will work closely with our national creative agency, Clemenger BBDO, to deliver insightful and inspiring advertising and marketing communication,” said Ben Allen, Stockland Residential’s general manager of sales, marketing and sustainable communities.

Pat Crowley, Ikon Sydney managing director, welcomed the account win: “We are very excited to be appointed by Stockland after a competitive pitch. Winning the account reaffirms the quality of our team and enviable client offering. Stockland is a brand with relevance and resonance with customers across Australia.

“We look forward to contributing our own style of innovation and creativity to help attract and inspire customers to buy land in a Stockland community and build their dream homes.”

The appointment is effective immediately. The account was previously held by media agency UM and is believed to be worth around $10 million.
