ING hires Neil Collins to lead social media team

ING Direct has hired social media practitioner Neil Collins to lead its social media team.

The announcement:

ING DIRECT Australia has appointed Neil Collins to Head up its growing Social Media team, to build and enhance the organisation’s social media strategy, policy, governance,
and operations model.

Collins, previously Social Media Manager at Vodafone Australia, has taken on the role to grow and develop ING DIRECT’s brand presence across the social media landscape.

During his time at Vodafone Australia, Neil helped build Vodafone’s social media footprint put in place the policies and guidelines necessary to socialise and connect an organisation of its magnitude.

ING DIRECT is the world’s largest direct bank which has changed the face of banking in Australia since launching its savings Maximiser via phone and internet in 1999.

“ING DIRECT is a perfect example of a business that recognises the absolute necessity of investing in digital marketing technology. I’m excited for the opportunity this presents and look forward to
building a strategy and technology roadmap for ING DIRECT and implementing this alongside the social team,” said Collins.
