Iris Worldwide regional strategy head Dan Pankraz takes Nike role with AKQA

Dan PankrazDan Pankraz has left the role of regional head of strategy at Iris Worldwide across Asia Pacific to become the strategic client partner on the Nike Europe account for digital powerhouse AKQA.

Australian Pankraz, who specialises in marketing to millenials, had been in the role with the global London-based network for three years, and prior to that was head of digital and brand strategy with M&C Saatchi for a year.

The new role has seen Pankraz move from Sydney to London where he will lead digital and social innovation across the US brand’s entire European portfolio, including all digital products and services like Nike+.

AKQA and Nike had huge success with the development of the Nike Fuelband and the Nike+ platform, one of the world’s first mass fitness tracking devices, picking up dozens of awards across the globe.

In a 15-year career Pankraz has worked at agencies including DDB Sydney, ClemengerBBDO Sydney, BBH New York, Naked Communications, Euro RSCG New York and Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney.

During his time with Iris the agency won a Bronze Effies for the Christchurch Reimagined campaign, and picked up a Gold and Silver Effie for the McHappy Day campaign at DDB Sydney.

Last November Iris announced an investment from Korean group Cheil Worldwide.
