iSelect releases sponsorship ads with Gold Coast Titans
Insurance company iSelect is this weekend to release a new campaign to support the company’s primary sponsorship and partnership with NRL team, Gold Coast Titans.
The three TVC spots involve the iSelect guy, Bevan, in the Titans’ training room giving hi-fives to, and weighing down leg presses by, star recruit player Jamal Idris, and finally getting tackled by a player after being thrown the ball.
The spots will run in New South Wales around the NRL telecasts on Nine and statewide across Queensland during NRL telecasts and in general air time.
David May, chief marketing officer, told Mumbrella: “We are really really happy with the ads. Sponsorship ads in general are bloody awful. So it’s nice to buck that trend.”
Recently, iSelect had a previous ad banned by the Ad Standards Bureau for showing a man using a laptop in a jacuzzi.

Nice one – an ad that appeals only to bogans.
Also, iSelect is not an insurer. It’s a product aggregator.

The Titians are an NRL team. Inspired by the venetian school, i think.

This ad encourages kids to ask giant men to tackle them, which is highly dangerous. Moreso than using the laptop in the jacuzzi. Not that many kids have access to a jacuzzi but finding a giant man to tackle you is never hard (especially on the gold coast)
