Jeep creates ‘The World’s Most Remote Dealership’ to promote Cherokee
Jeep is promoting the launch of the new Jeep Cherokee with ‘The World’s Most Remote Dealership’ stunt which sees the brand offer the public the opportunity to buy a Cherokee Longitude for $10k if they can make it to the remote dealership.
Created by Cummins & Partners, experiential agency Wonder and partners Nice Bike, Digital Dialogue and Maxus, the campaign, launched across TV, digital and social yesterday, will drive viewers to download the Jeep app in order to participate in the promotion.
Those who register through the Jeep app will have the exact location and other details of the dealership revealed to them in the coming weeks.

Seems a little silly, it’s like saying you can get a jeep if you already own a decent 4×4 that will make the trip. Just weird.
User ID not verified.
I certainly wouldn’t own one, but a lot of people would appreciate the bargain.

Living in TAS ,that’s an advantage,, thanks for making it easy ,,I hav’nt got a JEEP

Like.
Fresh approach.
We should celebrate the different, the unique regardless of how slight it may be.
Hope it works.

Nice concept, bloody awful looking car (a very poor mans version of the awful spice girl landrover…) The morons will buy one though… I remember when Jeeps were hardcore.

Hope the average person without a 4×4 can get the chance to win a jeep

what a way to own a Jeep!
Buy it and drive it back, wow!!
Question is, where could this location be
User ID not verified.
Drove a jeep Cherokee in the early 80’s, bright blue. Drove it around nsw and the shire for 14 years. The only problem was no one knew how to service it correctly. Obtained a. Service manual from the states and all was well. Loved the experience, changed our lives…….BMX, Bridal track, whole softball team in the jeep……would love the experience again, now weave retired.

Amazing!!!
I love jeep, the best value for money!!!
User ID not verified.
those that think they are going to get the location and just go there and buy a jeep for 10k… think about it. they have 10 jeeps. they will sell them to the first 10 to get there. unless you have your own small private plane and can jump in it as soon as the location is revealed, you wont be one of the first ten. the rich get richer…
User ID not verified.
If it’s anywhere near a real Jeep Dealership, I think I have worked out where it is, not telling but it if I am right you would nearly be able to get a taxi to get there.
User ID not verified.
It’s not a race to get there you need to read the steps you have to call and pay first. So first 10 to pay can go puck there car up a week later
User ID not verified.
Can’t seem to find the Jeep app at the app store
User ID not verified.
Hmmm….
Please people read the instructions it’s not a race to get there first…
Seriously why don’t you just give us another clue already JEEP
User ID not verified.
Just saying the only way you can get there is to pay the money but if you have a landcruiser to drive you there why would you need a jeep???? Speak to panel beaters and mechanics before you get sucked in, the car may cost $10000 but a headlight alone to replace is $2500.00 Is the headlight really worth 1/4 of your car.

What an adventure it will be! I’m on board and counting the days.
Love the Jeep, and want to test it going over Mount Hotham.
User ID not verified.
What if you already live remote and cant get to the dealership to pay? Nice thinking Jeep!
User ID not verified.
That many people involved in this promo, someone will blab!
User ID not verified.
No offence but reading these comments I can’t help but think how stupid you all are. It’s not rocket science to work out where this dealership is.
User ID not verified.
so when the countdown hits zero, do they send the ph number to yr email or does it come up on the jeep app
User ID not verified.
Great ad campaign ,want more info where is it
User ID not verified.
And Troy seeing though it’s not “rocket science” where do think the dealership is?
User ID not verified.
To Troy- no need to work out where the dealership is as Jeep will advise all when the countdown finishes. It’s amazing how many people haven’t read the terms and conditions thoroughly.
User ID not verified.
Just wait for the countdown too reach 0, oh and ill give u a clu,e SA that’s where the oldest mining towns are.

12 hours to go – my money’s on broken hill
User ID not verified.
Hi just so you are aware you might want to report that the app stopped working 12 hours before the competition. Some people got the numbers before others could…probably the selected few that Jeep wants to give the cars to.
User ID not verified.
it will be moranbah
User ID not verified.
a con. Those people who did not get the leaked telephone number were cheated of the opporuntiy to participate
User ID not verified.
six minutes past the dealine and no number???
User ID not verified.
What a scam. Followed instructions to a tee and when I called number from app – I get “the number you have called is incomplete or incorrect. Scam scam scam!
User ID not verified.
Jeep Competition was a waste of time. Downloaded the app, called the second the app gave me the number from several phones at once. All I got was service was overloaded message from Telstra. Feeling disappointed that there wasn’t even a message. Rather than be the first person to call in, a better idea would have been to go into a draw. Was considering buying a Jeep, but rather put off by the whole experience will look at buying a Toyota instead.
User ID not verified.
There is no Phone Number revealed. Sucks
User ID not verified.
what fiasco, after calling the 1300 on the app with the line busy all the time, I decided to call the dealership directly, to my surprise they answer the phone and very rudely was told that “JEEP DEALERSHIP” does not deal with Jeep!!!!
Could you believe that!!!
User ID not verified.
There is 5 of us here and all of us have been calling non stop since 9 am. I think this is another con job, the phone is off the hook and there isn’t any way any of is will get through unless we are one of the chosen ones, should’ve known better, looks like it’s fixed.
User ID not verified.
What a scam. I had the app downloaded on 3 different devices and the countdown clock was different by minutes, then i workrd out that it was running off the devices clock, so if 1 device was 30 seconds ahead the countdown timer was 30 seconds ahead. I believe the winners were already selected upon registation of the app. I had 3 people call exactly when the countdown clock hit zero and no connection could even be made. Think i will stick with my origional car of choice, a reliable Subaru.
User ID not verified.
i finally got through around the 15 min mark, it said, 10 lucky people have been selected. then it hung up. shit shit shit
User ID not verified.
Scam alright the number didnt even work what a waste of time jeep has let people down
User ID not verified.
Finally got through and received a pre recorded message that thy had the 10 lucky people. The number was correct – just had to persist
User ID not verified.
PMSL, Wish I had a dollar for every phone call to 1300 957 665
HAHAHA….
User ID not verified.
I also did the right thing, If you were calling from outside the local area of where ever the calls were being taken. You where locked out as local exchanges won’t allow long distance calls to get through, it’s a priority system. So I bet if you weren’t in the “JEEP dealership family” and didn’t have the leaked number pre programed into your phone, you were never going to get through. Unethical, and I wont buy a product from an unethical company. Feel cheated..
User ID not verified.
I think it was a scam, thanks for letting everyday people think you really had a shot at something good, I tried as soon as the number came available and like others it said incomplete or wrong number, or busy. Thanks heaps
User ID not verified.
DISSAPOINTED IN JEEP!
I too followed instructions to a T, had one update early this morning of the location then nothing! Thought maybe my app wasn’t working but then another update saying they are all sold! I didn’t even have a chance to call no number was given. Jeep u are deceiving scammers.
User ID not verified.
I will never ever deal with jeep again it’s a scam! Took day off from work just so I can watch the countdown! Was on the phone for half an hour non stop dialling that number! Never got connected! No no to jeep!
User ID not verified.
I got through but was cut off Boo hoo for me
User ID not verified.
Scam, phone number is incomplete or invalid!!!!!
Might be worth a phone call that will go through, too competition regulators.
User ID not verified.
Anyone else have the count down disappear and no number come up? But I got the update of the location then all of a sudden the sold update
User ID not verified.
I got through at 9:02 to a voicemail saying that the 10 cars had already been sold, 2 minutes- give me a break! Scam!!
User ID not verified.
Phone number was never revealed, countdown disappeared and I was forced to stare at a map for 30 mins until I gave up waiting. If you’re going to run a marketing campaign like this make sure your technology is up to scratch. Very disappointed – such a waste of time, was probably all pre-orchestrated!
User ID not verified.
What a scam 10 jeeps gone before we had number on app. People had phone number yesterday evening what a joke a…holes who ran it need to be strung up ..guess who’s dads not buying a jeep
User ID not verified.
When this competition was first released i was wondering why , if it’s a competition and there are only ten winners, you have to download an app, watch a countdown clock, travel a large distance to get there and still be asked to pay $10,000 was a bit of a joke. This is the first competition i have entered where you still have to pay nearly 25% of the product and to top it off, the location is remote and they don’t even offer up a trail Hawk with sat nav and true 4 wd capabilities. Cheap cheap scam scam. Should have known better, i feel stupid for being so gullible.Stick to Toyota or Subaru a much superior product. The Cherokee is an other priced product. A few months ago when a dealership gave me a rough idea of pricing, i replied with it is as much as the Grand Cherokee, which at the time was $39,990 Drive away, shortly after they had a price increase where the Larado went up to $47,000 Drive away, all to justify the pricing on the new Cherokee. Do Jeep think that we are that stupid in Australia.
User ID not verified.
Yes, total scam, number never appeared on the app, just a map. Promoters totally ripped off Jeep and have sullied there name.
User ID not verified.
What a scam. Tried calling the number and all I get “the number you have called is incomplete or incorrect. Scam scam scam!
The Jeep app says SOLD OUT all 10 Cherokees are now sold but t in the terms and conditions they were taking the first 50 callers.
I doubt anyone will pay 10K for a jeep at all, I would love to hear from someone other than a Jeep employee to confirm they were one of the first 10 callers
User ID not verified.
What as scam 10 jeeps gone before we had number on app. People had phone number yesterday evening what a joke. A…holes who ran it need to be strung up .
..guess who’s dads not buying a jeep ever…. go Toyota
User ID not verified.
Got through on the dot at 9am from the number in the app, call was active for 3sec then they hung up, after that when trying to call it was all ‘line busy’ messages…
User ID not verified.
Watched the countdown on I pad and no number appeared. Just compass to remote dealership. How can you call from a land line as number only on mob phone. Disgraceful and I also will have nothing to do with Chrysler and jeep.
User ID not verified.
I was considering getting a jeep but not anymore. Really disappointed. It was a scam I think.
User ID not verified.
This was a PR stunt, not a competition. Everything about it’s fake — even the supposedly “live video” on the landing page is just a looping video. http://remotedealership.jeep.c.....alerLaunch
User ID not verified.
I reckon the dealership is in broken hill. That’s just my guess
User ID not verified.
Scam I can’t beleive we thought they would actually be fair dinkum!!!!
what a waste of time actually watching the countdown only for no number to show up!! pi$$ed off!!! Jeep have totally lost me, they would have been better off just saying they were picking at random from those who downloaded the app at least then you know you’re no chance.
User ID not verified.
We were going to lease a jeep. Being scammed on this one i am definitely going to buy another brand. Not being a fair competition, you lost a sale..
User ID not verified.
i was thinking that number will pop up om my app. but after 20 mins i got massage sold out. jeep… dont deserve respect
User ID not verified.
PR stunt gone wrong for Jeep. Sure, they got publicity and brand exposure but they have also left a sour taste in a lot of potential customers mouths!
User ID not verified.
what a crock, ph number appeared about 3 min past, i was only going to sell. It to buy a better car. I also took time off work to be in the running, i wouldnt never own one long term, they are one of the worst cars for early, low km mechanical failures, if you ebay the second handys, there are so many avalable with blown motors, most v8s will do at least 500 000 km before major rebuild, a lot of the blown motors ive seen for sale are half that, theyre rubbish & overprised rubbish atvthat
User ID not verified.
What a joke I called the number for half an hour and not once did the number work just call ended every time I called very disappointed and you would think they would pick a more of remote area then that 1 big scam
User ID not verified.
To Kim Hi Kim , I was caller number 7 and have purchased a Jeep for 10 big ones, I also dropped out a couple of times but persevered and got through, I think the way they did it was to have only one phone and after answering it they would then hang up and whoever was lucky enough to be the next caller got through, a bit of a lottery draw i think,This campaign has had a lot of negative feed back because it is i think the first time it has been tried, however i would not say in any way was this an intentional scam on the part of Jeep, Just a learning curve. No I do not work for Jeep or any of the associated firms. I think Jeep might like to think about some form of compensation to those who missed out by offering them a say 5 thousand dollar cash extra over and above what ever price they can negotiate with there Jeep dealer, providing they mention the outback promotion.
User ID not verified.
Hello everyone, the 10 people that got the jeeps.luck you ! I followed all the rules and at the end did not get the phone number to call. Yes I really believed that I was going to win one. I have made many attempt to contact Jeep to ask why and if they could explain what happen. But only to be told go to this page and have my say. We have a story as to why it would of changed our life, I know it would not of changed mine, but it sure would of bought some happiness into it. I wont tell my story , im sure your all sad enough. Once again good on the winners and thinking of the loosers (as in the ones that didnt have a chance ) Janine

i can’t believe how many idiots there are out there.
Did you really think you had a chance?????
Yes, JEEP fucked up royally, but seriously, its a game, an ad to get you to play and engage. It is funny looking at all these stupid comments of people who really thought they had a chance. The odds of this were as high as buying a tattslotto ticket. Are you going to be screaming every Saturday when your numbers don’t come up?
As my yoga teacher says: “take a deep breath and chill the fuck out”
Are you really any worse off than you were before the competition? No. Then move on and get on with your life instead of stressing out over a game.

You know, I already have a couple of great 4×4’s, but I can carry two Wounded Warriors and would consider it an honor if they would allow me to drive them to the jeep location to buy their $10,000 Jeeps. I was fortunate enough to return from Vietnam health enough to earn some money to buy my own, but there are so many, from my war, and those that followed that were less fortunate.
