Jono & Dano become John & Ono for schnitzel stunt

MCM Media’s Jono & Dano Show has launched what it describes as one of its biggest  ever promotional campaigns, based around an effort to champion the return of the schnitzel to family dining.

The centrepiece of the campaign is a spoof video featuring presenters Jonathan Coleman and Ian Rogerson dressed as John Lennon and Yoko Ono singing “Give Schnitz a Chance”.

The video is based onThe Plastic Ono Band’s version of Give Peace A Chance:

Meanwhile, among those the drivetime show has persuaded to endorse its schnitzel campaign is Labor politician Peter Garrett.

The agency behind the campaign, which is also takign place on Facebook is 3rdspace.

Among the stations carrying the Jono & Dano show are ARN’s WSFM in Sydney, Gold FM in Melbourne and 4KQ in Brisbane.
