Katter hands creative control to the public for his TV campaign
Independent MP Bob Katter is “taking the creative reins from his staff and handing it to the people of Australia” for his television election campaign.
The Your Katter Campaign calls for people to enter the competition, which he says is about moving away from ” talking heads droning on about policy.”
Today he promoted a two-minute YouTube video on his Katter’s Australian Party Facebook page. The video feature what appears to be a deliberately terrible ad purporting to be by his staff, before inviting the public to do better. It finishes with text on screen telling viewers how they can enter.
The competition closes on June 7.
The contest is not the first time Katter has taken an off-the-wall approach to advertising. Last year he launched an ad based on the song “Bad Boys”.
Clever, he gets free ad ideas and content

Maybe the advert could just be Katter shouting loudly at people he disagrees with and demonstrating his total intolerance for people who aren’t the same colour/sex/sexuality as him?
