King Content picks up former ZO Melbourne MD Leanne Brinkies

Leanne BrinkiesKing Content has hired former managing director of ZenithOptimedia Melbourne Leanne Brinkies to head its native advertising unit.

In her new role Brinkies will work with clients to develop their strategies in the space and help them to amplify their media across various channels.

Craig Hodges, CEO of King Content, said the move was significant because of Brinkies’s previous experience in traditional media and digital.

“Leanne’s extensive expertise in traditional media and unparalleled knowledge of the digital landscape will give King Content clients the opportunity to recognise the true value of content marketing,” said Hodges, in a statement.

Brinkies held various roles ZenithOptimedia until February 2014 when she announced her departure. She has also worked at media agency Carat.

“I’m really excited to be joining the King Content team in this newly created position,” said Brinkies. “I’ve always been a big believer in taking brand content to the user – creating connections and engagement in environments they are already frequenting.

“With marketers more focused than ever on their owned channels and the creation of content, my role will be to develop an end-to-end solution which amplifies and distributes the content that King Content produces within native environments.”

Brinkies will be based in Melbourne but will travel for the role.
