KPMR strikes deal with UK recruiter to bring Aussies home
Media and marketing recruitment firm KPMR has forged a strategic alliance with UK recruiter Lipton Fleming.
The deal will give Australians working in London more opportunities to get a job back home.
Keeley Pope, KPMR‘s owner, said: “The alliance allows both companies to continue to facilitate their candidates’ international career aspirations, while also placing a very strong focus on assisting returning Australians to come back to Australia and helping British candidates head back to Europe.”
She added: “At the moment, we’re seeing more Australians wanting to go home than Brits.”
KPMR places candidates in digital, media agency, media owner, advertising, experiential marketing and client side.
A similar deal was struck in 2008, when Australian recruiter ICUR sold a stake to UK media recruitment specialist Phee Farrer Jones.
Perhaps the same could be applied to all the poms in this market……

@Tony “and helping British candidates head back to Europe.” Did you read the article before commenting? and POME is spelt this way, its an acronym of ‘Prisoner of Mother England’ and is a racist term

not sure this is newsworthy. Every good headhunter has links to major offices around the world to source talent
And…of course more Australians are looking to come home right now – we’re just getting into Summer. It’s an annual cycle – this time of year people escape the Northern Winter and then in March/April they start heading north

@fleshpeddler – well said. This is fairly standard knowledge and not a revelation likely to send shockwaves through the local recruitment industry!
In a shameless plug I’d also like to point out S2M has an exclusive agreement with London based ECom. Now that’s newsworthy…

Chill @Anonymous…as a descendent of a convict who arrived here in chains in 1791 as a Prisoner of Mother England, I’m well and truly proud of my English roots.

It is debatable whether POME means Prisoner Of Mother England, or whether it refers to Pomegranate (You could and often still can spot the English who came / come to Oz, as they are pink from sunburn, which is the colour of a pomegranate.) Yes those rednecks (sunburn again) certainly copped a little flack from the Aussies (born and bred Aussies…)
As for recruitment. Most agencies have affiliates with UK firms don’t they..? If not, why on earth wouldn’t you? Back scratching always helps you out…
As for the “UK” it’s not the UK, it’s Pomgolia!!!
On the back and forth to the Motherland rant: 1788 by David Hill is a cracking read(.)
Tally ho!

Why the negativity towards Media professionals working in different countries? It’s a fact that many Aussies go to work in London and vice versa. I spent several years there and it really helped my career. I would not begrudge anyone moving internationally. It’s not easy to make such a move and recruitment companies provide a much needed service.
BTW Classy move Matt, hijacking an article for your own ends. Safe to say I won’t be using your company in the future…
