Leadership questions emerge as Endemol CEO Janeen Faithful to step down

endemolQuestions hang over the future leadership of the soon to be merged Shine Australia and Endemol production houses with the news Endemol CEO Janeen Faithful is to step down from the role when the merger takes place.

The news follows hot on the heels of the departure of Mark and Carl Fennessy from Shine earlier this month, with a review of what the newly merged entity will look like underway.

In a statement Faithfull said: “After three enormously fulfilling years I’ve made the difficult decision to leave the company and pursue new opportunities.

“I’m incredibly proud of our talented and committed team and all we have achieved together as Endemol Australia.

“I have no doubt that joining forces with Shine Australia later in the year will lead to even greater things and I wish all those involved continued successes.”

Faithful joined Endemol Australia in 2012.

In the statement the company said the structure, leadership and start date of the combined Shine and Endemol business will be announced after the completion of an on-going consultative process, led by Endemol Shine Group co-CEO international operations Martha Brass.

Until then both Shine Australia and Endemol Australia will continue to operate independently.
