Lenovo renews relationship with We Are Social

Lenovo has renewed its global social media agency of record relationship with We Are Social.

The announcement:

Lenovo has renewed its global social media agency of record relationship with We Are Social, marking the third consecutive year of the partnership.

Under the agreement, We Are Social’s Singapore team will continue to provide a variety of social media services, including social listening, campaign design and on-ground activation, community engagement and content creation. Support to the Lenovo Worldwide Social Media team will continue to be led from We Are Social’s Singapore office, aided by the agency’s global network, including its London headquarters.

Lenovo’s Digital and Social Centre of Excellence, its internal social media hub serving markets worldwide, is based in Singapore.

Rod Strother, Director of Lenovo’s Digital and Social Centre of Excellence said: “We Are Social has shown their value and passion to us as a business over the past three years. The relationship has been very strong and them bringing their network to us has really benefited Lenovo at a worldwide level. The team provided a fantastic kickoff for Lenovo Tech World with their work on the #ihackedlife campaign, which is one of the most successful campaigns we’ve ever done.”

We Are Social was originally awarded global social media AOR duties in December 2012 following a pitch, to provide strategic support and advice to Lenovo’s in-house social media team, while partnering to develop a long-term strategy across all social media channels to drive the brand’s business objectives.

Nathan McDonald, co-founder and global managing partner, We Are Social said: “We are very pleased with the continued evolution of this partnership. The renewal of our global social media AOR relationship is a reflection of the mutual respect our teams have for each other and our desire to provide best-in-class communications and services to the Lenovo community.”

In April, We Are Social’s Singapore team launched a one-night-only urban art exhibition in collaboration with some of the country’s rising artists to bring to life a series of artworks projected at ten different locations around the city using the new Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 Pro. The initiative attracted close to 2,000 attendees on event night and it reached over 1.4 million people on social media.

Strother said: “With more focus put on social media marketing within our organisation, it opens up more areas for We Are Social to provide relevant and valuable support.”
