Lindsey Evans to lead marketing of Bonds and other Pacific Brands underwear brands

lindsey_evansLindsey Evans, one of the brains behind the award winning date stamped pillows campaign, has joined Tontine’s parent company Pacific Brands in a marketing role.

Evans, who was a founding partner of the now defunct Happy Soldiers which won a string of awards for the Tontine work, is one of only two women on the board of industry body The Communications Council.

Evans will be GM of marketing for Pacific Brands’ underwear group which includes Bonds, Holeproof and Berlei. She has been working with Pacific Brands in a consultancy role for some time.

Evans also previously successfully ran the Sydney office of The Campaign Palace, which has fallen into the doldrums since she left three years ago. It lost the Bonds account to Banjo earlier this year.

Colette Garnsey, GM of the Pacific Brands underwear group, said Ms Evans was one of the most talented consumer marketers in Australia. “Lindsey has a tremendous creative touch and she is well versed in our iconic underwear brands.”

Evans said: “The chance to help shape the future of the great brands in the portfolio is one of the best marketing challenges in the country and I’m thrilled to be working with one of the most talented teams around.”

Former GM of marketing Jeff Swan has moved into a group strategic development role.
