SXSW hangout day 3 featuring Faris Yakob
One of the world’s most innovative marketing thinkers Faris Yakob joined Mumbrella this morning for a hangout looking at the latest trends emerging from SXSW.
Yakob, who now runs his own agency Genius Steals, and has previously held roles including head of innovation for MDC in New York and digital ninja for Naked in London and Sydney.
He was joined by group managing director for Havas Worldwide in Australia James Wright, MD of Genius Steals Rosie Yakob, and Ogilvy PR’s strategy head Sarah May.
They discussed the latest trends emerging from the conference including a provocative talk about artificial intelligence from Martine Rothblatt.
Guys you need to present something watchable. The audio is horrible.
The panellists are trying to be comedians

I wouldn’t call myself “one of the world’s innovate marketing figures” by any stretch but I find the idea of artificial intelligence in the advertisng sphere makes a lot of sense. Like, we wouldn’t need all these unpaid interns wasting our ink printing out their film scripts on work photocopiers. And I’m guessing there’s other benefits I haven’t thought of.
