Vogue uses QR code to reveal Karlie Kloss film
Vogue Australia is the latest publisher to make use of QR codes – the cover story of the March edition, which features model Karlie Kloss, leads readers through to the Vogue website where they can watch a behind the scenes video of a shoot with Kloss.
Publisher, NewsLifeMedia Lifestyle, Mark Kelly said in a statement: “Vogue Australia is always at the forefront of uniting print and digital as evidenced by the dominant scale of Vogue.com.au online since its inception 11 years ago. We are seeing exponential growth in the use of QR codes in both the US and UK for advertisers and in editorial and we’re excited to be able to bring the March 12 cover to life for Vogue Australia readers in another first” .
The March edition goes on sale on February 1.

Hi Hadley,
Thanks for spotting. Just heard from Vogue, who tell us that the QR code was on the cover story, not the cover. Sorry about that.
Cheers,

Vogue magazine . . a consistent joy throughout my whole life.
I love the website but not that cover (or that model).

Vogue doesn’t sell in my newsagent ever since 2005 when the editor mentioned a free giveaway for all readers but it turned out only for subscription copies. It annoyed a few of my regulars and since then I hide it on the shelves.
