Pacific Magazines to launch Marie Claire ‘under the cover’ doco
Pacific Magazines is to launch a fly-on-the-wall documentary series about the editors and producers of Marie Claire magazine.
In what might be seen as a dig at ACP’s documentary Park Street, which flopped when it aired in February, Pacific Magazines’ editor/publisher, Jackie Frank said the show, called ‘Marie Claire, Under the Cover’, “offers more than just a cursory look” at what makes Marie Claire tick.
“It brings viewers closer to the people behind the brand as they juggle the high pressure world of the magazine with their own personal lives,” she said.
The show, which covers “everything from high-fashion photo shoots to runway shows; red carpet events to late night deadlines”, will air on 7TWO and Seven from June.
It is sponsored by Schwarzkopf.
park street set the bar so high though

I can’t believe Jackie Frank would stoop so low to shamelessly promoting herself everywhere in some carefully stage-managed PR exercise. Oh, hang on a minute…

I smell another massive turkey here. The only people interested in the goings on of fashion magazines are the muppets who work in the industry and brain-dead women. Park St showed how much we love fake-tanned old battle-axes with a misplaced sense of importance.

Please for the love of…….surely they aren’t serious about this. Who, other than those in magazines, is going to watch and/or care!

What were Schwarzkopf thinking? Or at least their media agency…
