Masterchef most-watched show with 1.221m metro viewers

MasterchefTen’s Masterchef was the most-watched show last night, pulling in 1.221m metro viewers as it also won the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54).

However it was not enough for the channel to grab any higher than third place in overall share, securing an audience share of 17.7 per cent behind both Nine and Seven.

Seven won the night with a share of 18.5 per cent just ahead of Nine’s share of 18.2 per cent. The ABC had to settle for fourth place with a share of 12.6 per cent.

Also in the 7.30pm timeslot, Seven’s Border Security – Australia’s Front Line was watched by 794,000 and Nine’s RBT pulled in 297,000 viewers in Sydney and Brisbane.

At 8.30pm, Criminal Minds on Seven had an audience of 670,000 while Nine’s Walking the Nile was watched by 187,000 in Sydney and Brisbane. Ten’s Madam Secretary grabbed 575,000, up on last week’s audience of 455,000.

Meanwhile on the ABC, 7.30 pulled in 694,000 metro viewers, QI (8pm) was watched by 540,000, The Weekly with Charlie Pickering (8.30pm) had an audience of 647,000 and Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery (9pm) was watched by 659,000.

In news, Nine News grabbed 1.123m metro viewers at 6pm, dipping to 1.101m from 6.30pm while Seven News at 6pm was watched by 1.001m before sliding to 926,000 from 6.30pm.

In breakfast TV, Sunrise was watched by 344,000 metro viewers, 0ut-rating Nine’s Today which had an audience of 276,000.
