Banking giant ANZ has quietly appointed a new marketing director.
Matt Boss took over as managing director for products and marketing for ANZ Australia last month. He will report to the bank’s CEO Philip Chronican.
A brief statement from ANZ – which was not released to the marketing press – read:
Matthew Boss has been appointed Managing Director Products & Marketing. Matthew joins ANZ from Bank of America based in North Carolina where he has held senior retail banking roles across finance, product management and consumer segments. He will commence with ANZ at the end of October 2012.
ANZ declined an interview with Boss, and said he was not available for comment.
He will be working with ANZ’s ad agency Whybin\TBWA\Melbourne, which created the ‘We live in your world’ campaign fronted by Patrick Jane, the lead character from The Mentalist played by Simon Baker.
Boss has spent all of his career to date working for Bank of America, according to his LinkedIn profile.
