McCann Melbourne’s Danish Chan joins Grey Group as national planning director
Grey Group has named McCann Melbourne strategic planner Danish Chan as national planning director, with responsibilities across both the Sydney and Melbourne offices.
Chan, joins the agency following two years with McCann Melbourne and will be based in the city. Prior to McCann he spent three months as an associate director of strategy at UM and was a senior Gyro for nearly four years in his native London.
He said in a statement: “The choice to move to Grey was an easy one. The opportunity to help lead one of the most influential agencies in the country into a new chapter is very rare and exciting.”
Paul Worboys, chief operating officer of Grey Group Australia, said in a statement: “We’re certainly chuffed to have someone of Danish’s calibre on the team. I know our clients will love working with him as he’ll bring a new level of thinking to the table.”
Grey clients include Worksafe Australia, Victorian Racing Club and Volvo.
Didn’t even realise Grey were a thing in Oz but apparently they are ‘one of the most influential in the country’. And dont buy a Volvo whatever you do

Hi Danish,
I met you when you first started at McCann Melbourne and I was Interning there many years ago. You were working very intensely, with post-its covering almost every inch of your wall. You did some great work and I wish you all the best for your new role at Grey.
