McDonald’s celebrates the return of the McFeast with epic ‘Maccas Run’
McDonald’s is promoting the return of the McFeast with a celebration of the Aussie “Maccas run” which sees a pair of ex-pats do an Amazing Race-style journey from London to an Australian McDonald’s to order the burger.
Created by DDB Sydney, the campaign aims to highlight McFeast’s exclusiveness to Australian McDonald’s stores.
The spot, which launched this week, is running nationally across TV, radio, digital and social.
The 2014 campaign has come a long way since its 1980s counterpart.
The McFeast last came back in 2011 as part of the brand’s 40th birthday celebrations in Australia.

The most coverage of boat arrivals we will get while the secret police are running our government.

I preferred the 1980’s version. I reckon it would have had more cut through.

McDonalds need to try and stop bringing back a burger that is equivalent/similar to a Whopper and think of something better.
Would be interesting to know how success the World Cup promotion was.
Personally I did not think much of their menu items and rarely ever saw anyone order them if I happen to be in a store at the time.

“Open in a flat in London, then cut to shots around the world”…gotta take my hats off to the creative team on getting a round-the trip for such an ordinary idea.

Could we fit any more CD’s into the credits?

That 1982 ad needed to choose talent with smaller hands. The burger looks very small.
…but it’s probably twice the size of what it is now.

This is false advertising & the ad needs to be pulled off the air . They left London where the burgers are bigger than they are over here , cheaper than here . So stop telling lies to the public or I will post it on Facebook for everyone to see .
