Media workers invited to throw their boss out of a plane with Toss Your Boss contest

The boss of an agency, media company or marketing team will be tossed out of a plane in one of the less serious moments of next month’s Mumbrella360 conference.

The Toss Your Boss competition, organised by outdoor aerial company Branding By Air, will see staff able to nominate their boss to go on a tandem skydive which will be live video streamed to the Mumbrella360 audience. At the same time, the boss’s team will be able to watch them plummet towards the earth from a free drinks party at the Argyll in Sydney.

Mumbrella360 will be the second time that Branding By Air has organised the Toss Your Boss contest. The first time around, Stuart Beckingham, then head of search at Mediacom, was the person volunteered by his team to do the tandem skydive.

Branding by Air’s APAC GM Simon Powell said: “We know a thing or two about creating big and bold campaigns, and Toss Your Boss is a great opportunity for the media, marketing and advertising industry to get involved,” he said.

“I think we can all relate to wanting to throw our boss out of a plane at some time or another, and partnering with Mumbrella360 has allowed us to help you make that dream come true.”

“I’d love to see teams from across our industry get involved to help Toss your Boss make a real impact,” he added.

Anyone wanting to nominate their boss for the fall to earth can do so via the Toss Your Boss website, with entries open for the next two weeks.
