Merrick cooks up the Carbeque in steak stunt
In a stunt for Meat & Livestock Australia, Triple M radio show Merrick and The Highway Patrol has revealed the latest mod-con for driving enthusiasts.
The Carbeque, half car half barbeque, was revealed this afternoon at an outdoor broadcast in Sydney’s Parramatta.
Merrick Watts is MLA’s brand ambassador for steak, having fronted their new campaign.
The ad by BMF sees Watts campaigning for the 1980s Tourism Australia ad in which comedian Paul Hogan famously said ‘throw another shrimp on the barby’ to be remade without the ‘shrimp’.
The car is a 1973 converted Ford Landau Coupe. The car is designed to resemble that featured in movie classic Mad Max.
The event was also attended by V8 super car drivers Garth Tander, Lee Holdsworth and motorsport veteran Neil Crompton.
VERY INNOVATIVE, BUT!!!!!!!!! WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF AN AUSTRALIAN ICON, THE CAR ITSELF WOULD BE PRICELES IN RESTORED
CONDITION,SORRY GUYS,EACH TO THEIR OWN BUT I AM NOT IMPRESSED!

More idiocy from another minor celebrity and Meat and LIvestock Australia continue to fritter away more beef producer dollars on stunts while cattle prices drop. Anyone with half a brain can see by the rise of chicken production that beef consumption is going south.
