News Corp has promoted national sales director Neil Robinson to director digital strategy and sales and is set to bring in Mindshare’s Sharb Farjami in his former role.

Farjami has been chief operating officer of Mindshare since April last year, and has also headed trading at the agency.

“We are just working through what that means for our structure and what the opportunity is. It brings about the chance to reassess that, but we really do wish Sharb the best on this one,” Katie Rigg-Smith, CEO of Mindshare told Mumbrella.

“Sharb is from sales and he wants to go back to sales and its a really good opportunity for him.”

Prior to Mindshare, Farjami worked at Ignite Media Brands as the national sales director.

In a statement he said: “I’m delighted to be joining News Corp Australia at such an exciting time. The company has a rich suite of engaging brands and products together with a stable of newspapers, magazineswebsites and Apps. The opportunity to lead the national multi-platform sales offering of Australia’s number one media company was too good an opportunity to pass up.”

He will be responsible for leading the company’s national sales team.
