Recipe to Riches stabilises for Ten as Seven dominates Tuesday night

Channel Ten’s food marketing contest Recipe to Riches has seen its audience stabilise at around the 600,000 mark. Last night it crept back into the top 20 programs with 608,000 viewers making it 19th for the night, preliminary overnight ratings from OzTam show.

The third episode – in which three contestants tried to get their condiments onto show sponsor Woolworths’ shelves – showed a mild recovery from last week’s 588,000 viewers when it was 21st for the night, but not quite as high as its debut of 616,000.

Recipe to Riches was 13th in Ten’s target demographic of people 25-54.

Droga5 creative chairman David ‘Nobby’ Nobay provides marketing advice in the Woolworths-backed show and winner Stephen Perry’s barbecue sauce will be available in supermarkets from today.

Meanwhile, Nine’s Big Brother, in the same timeslot, featured the housemates’ nominations and had 873,000 viewers, making it tenth for the night and third among 25-54s. Seven won the 7.30-8.30 timeslot with Border Security rating 1.071m viewers, and The Force – Behind the Line averaging 1.134m metro viewers at 8pm.

Seven’s Winners and Losers, on from 8.30pm to 9.30pm, was the top show in 25-54s and seventh for the night with 992,000 viewers across the five cities from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. Ten’s Under the Dome had 784,000 in the same timeslot, and ABC1’s first outing of the four part documentary series Rise of the Continents had 718,000 viewers.

Nine News was the top program of the night, with 1.26m viewers, and Seven News close behind with 1.238m, following extensive coverage of bushfires in Sydney.
