Mitchells’ Aegis sale sails through

An overwhelming majority of shareholders in Mitchell Communications Group today voted in favour of selling to Aegis.

The group includes Mitchell & Partners, Australia’s largest media agency.

The deal, which will see Harold Mitchell take the helm at Aegis in Australia, was first announced in late July.

Today’s vote saw 99.86% of those votes cast by MCG shareholders in favour of the deal.

The deal should be completed on November 17.

Aegis’s agencies include Carat and Vizeum, while MGC media agencies include Mitchells, and a majority stake in MPG’s local operation.
