MKR wins Monday while Biggest Loser delivers Ten a slight improvement

Seven and Nine made it a two-way battle in Monday night’s ratings with My Kitchen Rules topping the table with an audience of 1.729m.

Nine’s best performer was The Block: All Stars which rated 1.397m according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTAM.

As well as MKR, Revenge also performed strongly for Seven, rating 1.157m. Seven won the night with a share of 27.4 per cent compared to Nine’s 21.4 per cent.

The second outing for Ten’s The Biggest Loser: Next Generation lost some of its opening night audience, rating 597,000, 19th for the night in all people. It was eighth in the key demographics of 16-39 and 18-49.

Ten News rated 670,000, 17th for the night. It was one of the first occasions of the year that Ten had two shows in the top 20. The network’s free to air audience share was 10.1 per cent, fourth behind ABC1’s 15.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, Seven’s Today Tonight narrowly beat Nine’s A Current Affair by 1.043m to 974,000. However, ACA won in Melbourne and Brisbane.
