MLA launches TV ad with summer BBQ tips
Meat & Livestock Australia is launching its latest campaign fronted by swimming coach Laurie Lawrence and former Olympian Duncan Armstrong showing viewers how to cook the juiciest summer steak.
Lawrence is shown encouraging Armstrong to use the MLA-produced free magazine Entice for tips on how to cook the perfect steak for his mates.
David Thomason, MLA general manager marketing, says: “A steak on the barbecue is the quintessential Australian summer tradition but many consumers, especially men, think they know how to achieve the perfect juicy steak but that’s not always the case. And of course, BBQ etiquette means you can’t tell a mate (or husband) where he’s going wrong.”
The next edition of Entice magazine will be available nationwide at participating retailers from 1 November. The campaign, created by BMF, will also include 30 second and 15 second TVCs, POS, and radio advertising.
The latest ads follows creative which featured the two personalities talking about how to cook a beef casserole to mark the arrival of winter.
Trying to be informative and funny. Achieveing neither. Shame as they/ve produced some great ads for this client over the years.
