Mobile Marketing Association announces two new creative awards categories

The Mobile Marketing Association has announced the addition of two new creative awards categories.

The announcement: 

The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), today announced the addition of two new creative awards categories – ‘Best Brand Experience in Mobile Rich Media’ and ‘Most Engaging Mobile Creative’ – for its regional SMARTIESTM Awards 2014.

Celebrating its 10th year globally, the SMARTIESTM Awards recognize creativity, innovation, and leadership in mobile and are the only global awards program devoted to mobile advertising.

Encouraging more entries, the deadline for submissions is 25th July 2014 and winners will be announced at a  Gala Event on the 5th of September 2014 at the Grand Hyatt in Singapore.

“The SMARTIESTM APAC Awards are aimed at inspiring marketers in the region to think big with mobile.

The future of mobile marketing depends heavily on creativity and innovation and hence we have brought in these two new categories to honour marketers that have distinguished themselves through effective and engaging mobile campaigns,” said Rohit Dadwal, the Managing Director of the MMA in APAC.

Awards categories range from Marketing Strategy and Channel/Media Strategy awards that recognize strategic thinking in mobile, to Enabling Technologies awards that assess the use of new technology or creative uses of existing technologies to enhance the user experience. In addition, the best-in-show Industry Awards honour those companies across the ecosystem that havedemonstrated their commitment to pushing the envelope when it comes to mobile advertising.
