Modern Family actor fronts latest Air New Zealand safety video from UK agency Albion

President Barack Obama, Julia Gillard and Snoop Dogg all make an animated appearance in the latest safety video for Air New Zealand.

The video, fronted by Modern Family’s Ed O’Neil and Melanie Lynskey of Two and a Half Men, gives safety instructions via an animated sketch, and is a departure from the airline’s previous award winning “nothing to hide” campaign, in which airline staff were dressed only in body-paint.

Created by UK based creative agency Albion, the execution has already clocked 648,000 views on YouTube in the six days is has been online and is supported by a wider campaign where consumers can win a round the world trip for two if they correctly identify more than five celebrities featured in the video.

Mike Tod, Air NZ’s GM of marketing and communications, said: “It’s great to be able to deliver our safety messages in an engaging, informative way that also makes people smile – and this time around gives them a chance to win a trip to see the world.”

The safety video will roll out on all domestic and international flights from early July.
