Mojo takes Toyota account lead Steve Anastasiadis from sibling Saatchi & Saatchi
Publicis Mojo has taken a senior executive from Publicis Groupe sibling Saatchi & Saatchi to bolster its management line up – the first key hire of new Mojo CEO Joe Pollard.
Steve Anastasiadis, who runs the Toyota and Luxottica business at Saatchi & Saatchi as executive director, joins as team leader on accounts including Nestle, Toyota and Frontline.
Anastasiadis has had a long spell at Saatchi’s, having left the Sydney office as GM over a decade ago to move to France as regional director running Toyota across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
He later became CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Dubai, and rejoined the Sydney office as executive director three years ago.
Michael Rebelo, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Australia said: “Being part of the Publicis Groupe allows us to match our talent with our client’s needs. Steve has been a big part of our Saatchi & Saatchi culture and history, and whilst we’re sad to see him leave we’re fully supportive of his move to our sister shop Publicis Mojo. This move reinforces the Groupe’s commitment to Toyota.”
Pollard commented: “Steve is a highly motivated and experienced executive. He has been a senior leader in the Saatchi & Saatchi network in Australia, Paris and Dubai for a number of years and brings his team leadership, strategic skills and overall management experience to our team. I am thrilled that he will become part of the leadership team of the agency and will play a key role in helping me accelerate a number of key initiatives”.
Anastasiadis will start in the new role on 3 September.
