Morry Schwartz launches The Real Estate Conversation in partnership with Mark Williams
Independent publisher Morry Schwartz, publisher of The Saturday Paper and The Monthly, has today launched new online property title The Real Estate Conversation, in partnership with real estate entrepreneur Mark Williams.
The venture includes a new website and e-newsletter dedicated to the residential property market and will showcase the most desirable homes on the market across the nation and examine topics such as foreign investment, interest rates, taxation and regulations. It will also feature breaking news and blogs written by industry experts alongside profiles of industry people.
Publisher Mark Williams said in a statement: “Owning a home remains the best expression of success and security in modern Australia and there have never been more issues surrounding property than today. We will deliver the most comprehensive news and views covering real estate in an interesting, modern and relevant format.”
Schwartz said: “Using our publishing nous, we will cover not only the major, breaking stories but also the outspoken opinions of those in the know. We want to create a conversation within the industry as well as between the industry and the public.”
The Real Estate Conversation is published in association with the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) and has launched with 100,000 subscribers, a release announcing the launch said.
REIA CEO Amanda Lynch said” “We look forward to The Real Estate Conversation becoming the premier online destination for all real estate news and opinions, as well as the social forum for the industry and its interaction with the public.”
Carmel Melouney, an Australian journalist who has recently returned from New York where she worked for The Wall Street Journal, will edit The Real Estate Conversation.
The Real Estate Conversation will also soon launch a dedicated Recon Jobs portal to cater to the Australian real estate sector and is expected to be a challenger to Domain and Property Observer.
