  2. It’s a mite sad when BRW’s greatest appeal is a list of who has the most money. Any chance of a list of who has done the most good?

  4. Actually Jape, BRW put together a pretty comprehensive appeal for UNICEF this year encouraging those on the list to donate and together with the BRW’s donation ended up raising quite a significant amount. They often cover philanthropists who have gone above and beyond. I’m an avid reader and have been for years.

  6. There’s a really interesting example of where Time Inc sees it’s popular Sports Illustrated flagship heading…

I could see BRW doing something like this. From the video, it’s hard not to view BRW as just a list manufacturer.

  8. In fairness, James, that’s partly because of the focus of my questions. One of the new things to talk about was the aggregated lists product which had just been announced.

And as you’d know at first hand (!), we do boil down a 20 minute conversation into seven minutes or so…

    Cheers,

  10. In fairness, Ed, my comment was fuelled by a comprehensive ignorance of BRW’s other activities. I withdraw it.

  12. The idea of creating a community for entrepreneurs isn’t that exciting – that’s what Amanda Gome did when she left BRW and started SmartCompany. Several years ago. Good old Fairfax, ahead of the times as always.
