#MumboReview looks at latest creative today with Christian Finucane and Lachlan James
Mumbrella was joined by Core creative partner and founder Christian Finucane and McCann Sydney senior planner Lachlan James today to discuss the latest crop of ads, including the first work on Hahn by Ogilvy and M&C Saatchi’s Etihad campaign featuring Nicole Kidman.
The pair discussed a selection of ads from the year so far as well as commented on the latest issues facing the industry, discussing the impact of procurement on agencies.
Finucane founded Core Sydney in January 2008. Prior to launching Core he was creative director at Whybin\TBWA for seven years and held senior art director roles at BMF and GPY&R. He has worked on brands including Playstation, Mars, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian Financial Review, Foxtel and the Barangaroo Development Authority.
He also led AWARD School for two years.
James joined McCann recently, returning to Australia after a stint overseas. Most recently he was the group director of strategy for digital and product innovation for McGarryBowen in New York City.
Previously he worked in London as the head of strategy at Collective London. Before he moved overseas he worked for the likes of Belgiovane Williams Mackay as a digital strategist and OgilvyOne as an account executive. He was worked on brands such as Sony, Rolls Royce, Coca-Cola and Crayola.

Maybe if these two ‘experts had some understanding of the brief for each TVC their discourse may have been worth listening to.Just had a look at the Core website..hmm.
